Toronto laugh and passes.

Pretty sure that Montreal isn't on Lucic's 10 team trade list.

First rule of cap friendly, never trade within division (especially Les habitants).
second rule - avoid stupid trades.
So a hard no from Leafs.

1. What rumour about Dube? The guy is literally playing on the 2nd line and due to the Team Canada 2018 ongoing allegations he's virtually untradeable
2. Calgary is not interested in Anderson and his bloated contract. Value aside they would have to pay to dump it in the offseason which is counterproductive

I can definitely see the Leafs interested in a package like that but I'm not sure if that's the one. Maybe something around Abruzzese or Hirvonen

Easy pass from the Flames - Huberdeau & Weegar's extensions kick in next season and part of the reason they work is because Lucic's $5.25M expires. They literally would not have room for Josh Anderson's remaining 4x$5.5M without having to dump a contract, and Anderson's not good enough for Brad Treliving to do that.

The Leafs are at contract maximum, you'd have to take on contracts for any trade to work.

Perhaps a lower-tier prospect like Kral or Hollowell would be a more appropriate trade piece for Savard (along with picks, obviously), but the timelines don't really make sense. Niemela's going to be an NHL player sooner rather than later, and Savard's contract exceeds Sandin and Liljegren's extensions. It would make more sense and be cheaper to offer teams just picks for a rental.

I don't really know Pezzetta, but his penalty minutes makes him look like more of a liability (per 60) than Simmonds.

Are you high? lmao TOR should take that and run, if Hughes makes that deal he should resign. What a joke.

Obviously you're high, No way is Dubas trading Niemela who's one of his top prospects for Savard and the rest of those scraps.
