There's been a LOT of defensive injuries this season across the league. RHD are in much higher demand than middle six forwards.

Kerfoot’s career numbers are remarkably consistent, at around 0.5 ppg. He’s excellent in the PK and he’ll come around, a lot of the Leafs struggling on offense but no worries - just a blip, and we’re still winning.
shatenkirk was a good player, but he is old and slow; Leafs have better options in house so no way we trade Kerfoot, never mind add a pick , to get him. I think you’ll find the market for Shattenkirk pretty thin
