Bokondji Imama has to actually sign with the Kings before 5 PM EDT tomorrow. The Lightning were going to lose his rights on June 1, anyway, so they got a pick from the Kings for exclusive negotiation rights.

well, probably not great, if there's a conditional 7th involved. He went 180th overall in 2015, and his point totals before his last year in the Q weren't great; he jumped from 19 P last year to 55 P this year, and outscored his entire career up to that point, with 41 G this year vs. 30 over his last 4 years in the Q. His point total can probably be chalked up to the fact that he was an overager this year (most people can only play in the CHL between the ages of 16 and 20, but teams are allowed to have, I think, up to 3 players older than 20 on their roster each year), and his assist numbers didn't go up significantly, meaning that he was probably scoring more goals than before due to the quality gap between him and his competition.

This is not to say that he's not a useful player, but the Lightning already have a bunch of prospects coming in from the CHL that have higher ceilings than Imama (Joseph, Cirelli, Yan, Stephens, etc.), and Syracuse isn't short of players, either. He probably would've been bumped down to the ECHL, and the Kings were apparently willing to take a flyer on him.

So what if they don't sign him? TBL doesn't get anything? Do you think they will sign him?

Yeah, if the Kings don't sign him by 5 PM EDT (or, well, 2 PM in LA), the Lightning get nothing, and Imama can sign with whichever team he wants.
Will they sign him? Well, if the Kings were willing to give up a conditional pick of any sort, they're certainly going to try their darndest to sign him. And, with no real inside knowledge of the situation, I would probably guess that he'd be willing to sign an ELC; in his situation, he'll probably take whatever he can get.

ok, i looked him up and his stats look pretty good to me. They tell me he could possibly be an NHL 3rd liner.
