Bennett makes $2,000,000 more than Mittelstadt, So Adams isn't going to be the one retaining 50% on a lesser contract.

Duclair had more points than Bennett last year but they had around the same amount of goals and Bennett is a center, so he's probably more valuable to the Panthers than Duclair. They probably just trade Duclair away or trade Reinhart if they can improve.

Sabres aren’t doing that. Bennett isn’t exactly a 1st round picks worth of an upgrade over mitts, plus Casey is younger.
