I think you’ve mistaken a 3rd for a 1st rounder.

Timo is on pace for 80+ points again. That third is a first or Grier hangs up the phone. That's basically one good prospect, one ahl player and two washed up veterans for an elite power forward. Dream on.

i swear everyone thinks a 35 goal scoring power forward isn’t worth anything of real value on this site.

So one good piece Raty, 3 worthless pieces in Bailey, Wilde and Panik and a lousy 3rd. And you honestly think you're getting Timo Meier for that. shakes head

Isles are not going to love Raty and Meier easily gets a better package.

At best raty becomes what timo currently is so for all that risk you give a bad contract, a 3rd, a net zero and a massive question mark. San Jose could and should do better than this

Bad trade.

-Wilde has no value - he's barely doing anything in the ECHL currently. I could see a team taking him on as a possible reclamation project, but you really can't include him as a positive asset in here.

-Panik's deal is not something that needs to be moved unless the Isles get to the contract limit (unlikely) - he's playing in France this year, his penalty is only $250K, and he's got zero value as a pending UFA not even in the country.

That 3rd has to be a 1st, and Raty is a good start for a package (I'd rather give up a lower prospect and better picks tbh) but the add-ons have to be something useful - even if you're looking at giving them middling prospects like Durandeau or Jenkins, it would be better than Wilde or Panik.

Sorry Shark fan...that's a bad offer. We can't afford Timo, he's going to get 10M on his next contract. That's something we can't afford without gutting team.

Any Meier deal to NYI starts with Wahlstrom.
Though a trade surrounding Raty is very possible, just need to add more significant pieces.
