I doubt the Canucks would be interested in Zuccarello. Although if it’s an offseason move like you said in the title, Horvat will either be signed already, a UFA, or traded somewhere else

Larkin and Horvat are both UFA, New Jersey has no need for that trade.

Rossi and Addison aren't very good in the NHL. I doubt teams would be trading premium centers for them.

      Devils just straight decline.

Other two trade don't make sense. They're both going to be UFAs at the end of this year if they don't re-sign and can be had for free. If they do re-sign, then they're not going anywhere...

Detroit declines. Even if they were to trade Larkin that doesn't get it done the only piece of interest is Rossi and ha alone isn't worth Larkin. Addison is 5'10" and Yzerman likes big defensemen and with Seider and Hronek there isn't a need for him. Zuccarello a 35yr old winger.

Detroit has no use for Zuccarello, And if Detroit wanted Rossi we wooldv'e drafted him but we didn't. That doesn't remotely get Larkin and Detroit passes.

I hope that this is a joke. First off Devils are never trading Nico. Secondly, if we miraculously did trade Nico to u guys, it would be Kaprizov coming the other way

Hischier (under long-term deal, captain of division-leading team, Selke candidate, and 24-pt center) should not be in same bucket as Horvat and Larkin (none of those things)

What about Sam Bennett? (If Florida is looking for cap space in near term). Would be a different package, but could be nice pick-up.

You are more than welcome to love your guy, but saying Larkin is not in the same bucket as Hischier is silly.

Larkin is a pending UFA on a rebuilding bubble team.

Hischier has 5-years on a team leading their division.

      Not silly at all.

(I do think Detroit extends Larkin eventually, but until they do, they are in very different situations).

I'm confused by this ACGM. Are these in-season rental (Horvat/Larkin) trades, or offseason trades pending UFA (Horvat/Larkin) trades?

If it's offseason then these are huge overpayments (you offer something like a 4th for their UFA rights) for guys who can just walk July 1st.

If they are in-season rentals I wouldn't do them, (imo) it is just a lateral move for the on-ice product. I'd keep Zucc and Addison and make it a" go for it" season, then trade them in the offseason. If you were offering something like Rossi + 1st I'd consider that for a Horvat/Larkin (with a decent chance of re-signing them) rental.

Hischier is untouchable for the Devils. Captain, over a point per game, Selke candidate. Wild would have to pay an insane price to get him

When Larkin/Horvat walk after the season because the team can't afford them, miss the Playoffs, or don't like it here then what? If they walk this trade becomes worse than the Fletcher Hansal trade. It's even worse in the offseason for their UFA rights, which don't mean anything.

If you're not going to compete with them this year then wait until FA and try and sign them then.

Yes Larkin in UFA but with no bad blood there is no reason to assume he won't come with term. Larkin has a NTC so he has to approve any trade so a sign and trade is pretty much assured. I really don't see Larkin being traded or leaving as a UFA.

Did you mean to say Rossi and Addison are unproven? Saying they aren't good isn't really very accurate, Addison seems to be playing well and I have no doubt Rossi will be a very good player down the road a bit. But I get the point you are trying to make.
