We have all the vets we need on the team already. Only thing I can see them doing is getting some depth guys once the TDL arrives. No room nor need for any of the guys you have above. Plus we have Johnsson who can come up as a vet as well.

Maybe not this year (expecting a playoff spot but not too deep in), but next year c is correct. I would add a Tanner Jeannot (can pay higher in the lineup IMO) to that list, but not as sold on Toews and Rico, Joshnson. Bratt and Jack will need a little meat around them in a long playoff grind.
Fischer is an RFA at 1.125, Hathaway ufa at $1.5

I meant style of play, nothing more. Not putting those two in the same bucket. I would put Connor Garland in same grouping, for context

I would think Garland and Johnson would be in similar buckets. Same as Henrique. But I think Jeannot is different.

Barring 2-3 long term injuries to the forward corps I see no point in trading for a forward this season.
With every forward healthy I count 5 (Johnsson, Thompson, Boqvist, Foote and Holtz) viable NHL forwards outside the lineup.

It all depends how Toews and Johnson play for the rest of the season. But right now, I think teams could get away with offering a 2024 or 2025 1st for Toews half retained. You might even be able to convince CHI to pay for extra retention, if needed.

For Johnson with retention, I can't really say... He was playing REALLY well before he got hurt. He definitely isn't the cap dump most people thought he was last season, but without a larger sample size, I'm not sure his trade value has become anything significant. Also, he has an NTC, which might complicate things.
