Too little for Nyquist (especially retained!), Gavrikov, and Roslovic; far too much for Chychrun and Nylander (and the latter is an utterly pointless acquisition), San Jose has virtually no reason to go for that Karlsson deal, and Korpisalo's doing well enough right now that he might not be traded at all.

        And we're not getting Bedard.

I like a lot of these trades, but the chicken deal makes me queasy thinking of giving up that much for two years of an injury-prone, second-pairing defenseman. I’d rather keep Chinakov and Texier than have Nylander, and they could definitely get better than a seventh for Roslovic, although I feel the sentiment there.

Lots of lowballing here...especially with Gavrikov and Roslovic. Gavrikov can easily get a 1st because he's a "cheap" aav rental that always goes for a premium at trading deadline, even more so this year when teams are struggling with cap due to flat cap. Also I am curious why Nylander is a target here especially with premium young assets as Columbus is nowhere near an "ALL-IN" status especially when you counting you chickens before they hatch with a Bedard acquisition. With these moves is how you become Florida where you sell your farm and have no fresh-blood coming in for a few years for maybe a chance at conference championship loss but forces a rebuild in 3-4 years and I think people in Columbus are rather tired of the 5 year rebuild cycles.
