Interesting, like the 1st trade and Oshie would add a element to the team we are missing, but he's getting up there.

We need osh as much as you guys need.

What’s victor like tho. Can he finish really well? We need a guy like that. Ovi can’t do it all

I don't think they made Okposo a Captain, to not resign him.

He's 4th in the league in G/60 among players with more than 100mins and on pace for 43 goals.

Nichushkin 2.93 (123mins)
Robertson 2.79
Horvat 2.21
Olofsson 2.06
McDavid 2.03

3 of his goals are empty netters lmao

When people are pulling out per 60 stats after 20 games I know they be cherry picking.

He was 123rd last year per 60 with 200 mins as a cutoff. Hardly a good finisher.

I watch a lot of Sabres games and I'd avoid him big time.

He's really bad 5v5 and extremely soft. Good shot, but that's about it. Doesn't score enough to justify how bad he is 5v5.

Isn't an empty net goal the definition of finishing?

Last year he was injured most of the year.

No lmao. Anybody can hit an empty net. Finishing implies ability to score with an actual goalie in net.

So misleading to put him near McDavid & Robertson with per 60 stats and not mention 1/4th of his goals are empty netters.

He was 204th the year before that.

So, every time a goalie is pulled someone scores a goal? Can they score goals sitting on the bench when the goalie is pulled?

What happens when someone scores when their goalie is scored and they are an extra attacker? Do those goals count the same?

Maybe hockey should start giving out like .2 for EN goals. And like .3 for the extra attacker. And like .5 for PPG and like 1.5 for SHG.

They could give out 2 goals for spinoramas and .6 for breakaway goals. They could give out .7 for slap shots and .1 for own goals. That would really help this discussion.

That way all goals are different.

Are you really this dense?

You don't think it's important to mention 1/4th of a guy's goals are empty netters when you include his per 60 stats for only 20 games played lmao? You don't think that's misleading at all? This is kind of embarrassing.

Should I go and subtract everyone's empty netters? Shall I subtract their extra attacker goals? Should I subtract their goals against ANA? What other goals should I subtract?

A goal is a goal is a goal is a goal.

I said G/60. I didn't say (goals- empty netter goals)/60

And 3/11 does not = 1/4.

What if he scores 20 ENG this year? Should all of those be erased from the record books?

Have you gone through and erased all ENG in NHL history?

You're kind of embarrassing.

When your team scores an ENG, don't you breathe a sigh of relief...as in...the game is "finished"?

I see you're a Leafs fan. So how many goals did Matthews score last year? I'm just curious. I would say he scored 60 goals. But according to you, nah, not really. He scored 56.

TO scored 4 goals 6v5 last year. Do those goals count? You may have even gotten up to 8 points in the standings when 6v5. Do those 8 points count?

Haha you're this mad over me calling out how misleading your stat is. This is really pathetic. Acting like a baby.

I'm not mad. I'm not acting like a baby.

I've asked you a question. You refuse to answer it. Should 6v5 goals count? Should teams that pull their goalies and end up with an OTL or W get those points in the standings?

When TO scores an empty net goal to seal the deal, what is your reaction? Are you sad because it was a ENG?

Basically everyone in the hockey world has Gretzky with 894 career NHL goals and Ovi with 793.

But if we use your method for counting goals, it's actually 841 to 745. I wonder why literally no one uses those goal totals?

Someone acting in good faith would say Olofsson is 4th in goals per 60, but keep in mind 3 of those goals are empty netters.

Someone dishonest and bad faith wouldn't mention it and throw a tantrum when called out.

You are just straw manning & pivoting hard. Really nothing to do with anything I said. Grow up.

Everyone but you would say Matthews scored 60 goals last year.

Someone (you) would say keep in mind 4 of those were ENG. Is that how this works? We have to mention ENG for every stat from now on?

Seems disingenuous to me.

I was watching the Sabres game. They lost 6-4. COL scored an ENG. But, the scoreboard still said 6-4 and not 5-4. What gives?
