No way we take on the Hoffman contract. Add a 2nd into the deal and we would accept.
Plus, don't think we have the cap space to do the deal

Sean Durzi is worth significantly more than Jordan Harris.

you could get more for Sean, JA and Edmundson. Harris over Durzi so the answer is NO

We`ll see at the TDL what really happens. Don`t be shocked. Many were shocked at the trades the HABS made last year.

Aside from the fact that it isn't fair value, I don't see how you can in good faith trade Jordan Harris. He could have waited less than two months and then signed as a free agent with any team, but chose to sign with Montreal.

Monahan is not "worths a first" and you forgot to disclose his salvage title and previous cap dump.

Last year, Habs fans were right about Chiarot, Lehkonen, Toffoli and Kulak. You all were wrong about those.

Yes, we'll see who's right this year. Spoiler: you're gonna be wrong AGAIN.

I don't know where you got the +. Everyone is talking about a 1st.

Could also be a conditional 1st and still be a win for the Habs.

Except he’s not. Who cares about FO%. Wow he had a good 21 games doesn’t erase the fact CGY paid to give him away, his production has declined year over year for 3 years, he isn’t the most fleet of foot, so yeah good luck selling all that to somebody for a 1st rd pick in the deepest draft since 2015.

They were also wrong about Petry, Drouin, Price, Poehling, Hoffman, Armia, etc.

The Canadiens are one of the most well represented fanbases on Capfriendly. Habs fans post a lot of ****. Some of it is bound to come true.

Also your examples are a little odd. Only the Chiarot trade was a major surprise (and that trade was a disaster for Florida).

Lehkonen for a 2nd and Barron was surprising too, everybody said he was worth less than a 1st. They also said a late pick for Kulak, we got a 2nd.

I was wrong about Petry, but always said Poehling, Hoffman, Drouin and Armia are worth nothing, or maybe a late pick at best.

Most people said we'd have to retain on Toffoli to get a 1st. I could even go back to the Pacioretty trade, everyone said he was washed up. Still got Suzuki and a 2nd.

The only reason Flames got rid of Sean was to get Kadri and one of the only teams capable to taking his contract was the HABS which cost the Flames a 1st rd. At the TDL and 50% retention for a player who is playing well and will have probably 50 pts at the TDL, HABS will obtain a 1st rd pick as well as a top prospect.

Lol you act like CGY just dumped an alleged 2c at 6m just because Kadri was coming to town and neglecting the 3 years prior. Take out the team and player and look at it this way, Player has major surgery and a team going for the cup dumps him and has to pay a 1st to dump him. Less than a year later, said Player is playing at a rate similar to pre surgery where many stated he was not good enough and should be dumped or bought out. He was even waived a few times. Therefor Player A who COULD get 50 points and can't keep up to the speed of a modern contender, is worth a 1st. Even worse you say a 1st and top prospect. Where's your head at?

HABS don`t need to trade Sean. I have been watching every game he`s played this year and I would actually keep him for our 2C and provide him the wingers he needs. This would actually give the time for younger C`s like Ridley and Beck to develop. IF a team headed to the playoffs actually needs a producing center they will need to pay the price.

It's only Habs fans posting Mona to COL trades that involve a 1st, roster player or top prospect. If you want to keep him, be part of the solution, not the problem.
