Chicago's the wrong team for Tanner, but with retention we'd get a 3rd+ easy.
After the offseason Myers will have been paid his bonus and will only be owed $1mil in actual salary. If Canucks retain 50% we easily get a mid-rounder for him.
That Boeser trade is horrific, no way we do that.

It would take much more than that for the Wings to take on Myers. I like him tho. With some heavy retention I could see the groundworks of being a decent deal.

Not sure there's a 'right team' for Pearson, but a 4th should be enough for a team to eat that contract. And there's no room to retain on Pearson or Myers which is why there's nothing in return on those deals. The Boeser trade is a train wreck move the team will be forced into, on the assumption that there's no salary coming back to Vancouver.

Can't afford to retain, but could sweeten the pot a bit to move him.

Wings can’t spend $6m on a 3rd pair defenseman. Maybe if he was in the final year of his deal it would be okay.

These are all offseason moves, he'll be in the final year of his contract in 2023/2024.

Ah, I didn’t notice that. I guess it would depend on what’s available on the free agent market and available cap. I wouldn’t mind Myers for a year if the salary fits under the cap. In that case, a better draft pick along with Myers could work.

That Boeser trade is trolling. He'd get at least a 2nd and a decent prospect.

Sorry but Detroit's not paying Tyler Myers 2 x $6,000,000 to be our bottom RD. Not happening period.

Cool and Minnesota can't afford to take his full contract this year, next year, or the year after without money going back. We have $14.7 million in dead cap the next 2 seasons (and $12.7 million this year) from the Parise/Suter buyouts and Boldy is an RFA in need of a pretty significant raise from his ELC this summer. There's no room to add a $6.65 million contract without a contract going the other way. If you want to dump big money over 3 years, it's going to be somewhere else.
