Those are some bold takes; mostly preposterous. And thanks for righting the ship of the team in 5th place overall squinty smile

Throw in Knies for the Wilson deal.

Leaf fans hate their own. Rather resign Bunting than give up anything for one year of Wilson. No Kampf or Holmberg, maybe even Holl and Hollowell.

You might get more, but one year of Wilson isn't worth all that much.

I like a lot of your additions but some will fetch more money as UFAS.

Also, Holmberg is well on his way to getting an extension. Knies should be ready. Anderson and Steeves will get shots also.

Mayfield will get 4.5m + a year.

I am a big fan of the Perry and Lucic signings though. Lucic might get more than that though.

This team looks great, but I think this AGM is unrealistic.

This wasn’t a Leaf fan - well maybe a wannabe leaf fan - so not surprised at some of the questionable signings . Probably just trolling; rival fans know if you post Leafs you get traffic if nothing else. Part of the price we pay for being fans of the most popular team, I guess

The caps just don’t have any incentive to trade wilson though. He’s the youngest piece in the core (which is saying a lot considering he’s about to hit 30) and he will absolutely be getting extended here unless he were to be moved. In my head, the only place wilson would go if he didn’t stay here is Toronto. But the caps are not going to want to lose him and are probably prepared to extend him for 6-8 years this summer.

Yea I agree that would be a fun team to watch tho and I think we can all agree contract costs aside this is exactly what the leafs need

Why would the Caps trade Tom Wilson? He's a unicorn.

To be fair, this is not likely an actual leaf fan. Just a troll

What the Leafs need is to continue playing team defense like they are now even after Rielly and Brodie return. Then, they need to continue playing that way throughout the playoffs. If they don't do that, it won't matter which role players they add or subtract.

Also, there's zero reason for them to let go of Samsonov if they can afford him, and Perry makes the Finals but can't seem to win.

Agree with you, that Wilson stays a Cap. But I would be wary of these long extensions for players when the new contract starts at the age of 30.

I'm surprised...no more disappointed that so many fans know so little about roster construction or even cap implications...the CAP Friendly site.
