I am down for that Wifi trade. Behrens may have the higher ceiling skillwise but with Byram and Girard, I feel pretty covered on that end long term even if the Avs let Toews walk in 2 years. I am game for a tough, young Dman who skates well.

You're not moving Jake Allen 2 months after extending him, and Sam Montembault is finally playing up to the level you'd want him to. Why risk losing him to waivers to pick up a guy who makes more than both your current goalies combined and, to date, has put up an .868 SV% & 3.75 GAA?

At least it isn’t Monahan. Behrens ceiling is quite a bit higher, but I would love to get a Xhekaj jersey.

Why not just keep Xhekaj and waive Wideman?
