Description
Note: I'm really not entirely sure what Anaheim would want for Kulikov but I assume that's more than enough. The higher pick is to take Hajek off the roster. Also don't want to hear that Nashville won't do the Tolvanen trade. He and Kravtsov are basically in the same boat and Blais being thrown in should be enough to convince them. If they don't give up the fifth that's fine, it's what I value Blais at but I can live without it as moving him is more of a cap dump than trying to recoup value from the Buchnevich trade. I REALLY think Tolvanen could unlock Laf's potential with his shot but I would also get Sprong because I know he can score. Sort of like another Vatrano for us.

Also, I don't care if the Rangers' FO would or wouldn't do some of these. These are MY valuations and what I would do if I was in charge, this isn't what I think they'll do. Actually, I don't think the Rangers' FO would make any of these deals.

What has Sprong done to warrant a 1st?

13 points in 15 games this season with only a $750,000 contract. Also, it's the Dallas pick which, at their current rate, is basically going to be a 2nd rounder. Is it ideal? No not really but I think it could be worth it, especially with our drafting history. It's a bit of an overpay but I think Seattle might fight for a lot. I could see it being a second or something instead.

My bad, meant to quote this!

Feels like he has been around forever, but actually, he is still pretty young, on a contract near the league minimum, and playing at almost a point per game pace.

Edit: I was so slow that two people beat me to answering you. I should probably stop staring at this screen for a while.

seems like a big overpay for Sprong. His ppg is off to a good start this season- he has been around a while... but unless you can quantify what part of his game has been unlocked-there has to be a reason he's playing on a bottom $ contract right now. And it's a bit soon to project the DAL pick as a late 1st. NHL conference finalists pick 29-32. I'm not ready yet to assume they'll smoke COL for one of those spots...so my guess is that pick is between 20 and 25. A few eastern conf teams I'm guessing will land 26-28.

No one is giving up a 1st Round Pick for a guy who's Career best Point total is 23. Regardless of how good of a start Sprong has had this Season.

Everyone keeps dumping on Halak. But when your team scores only 7 Total Goals through the 6 Games you've played, it's going to be tough for anyone to Win.

Teams that are desperate for scoring might do that, especially when a guy's hot. I would pay that 1st for him but I do recognize it's a bit of an overpay.
