Description
I think the Sabres really need to cement their third line and there are some great available players. With an abundance of prospects and some players possibly needing a new environment, I thought of some great ideas.

1. Columbus
They are struggling this year and Roslovic has not produced the way they believed he would. He is on the trade board and I think he could use a refresh with another team. I believe the same for Mittelstadt. He isn't progressing in Buffalo and CBJ might offer the opportunity for him to be surrounded by more talent. I believe this is a good trade considering both players are struggling and could use a change. C for C and youth for youth.

2. Arizona
Sabres need another top 4 D and right shot D. Chychrun is that guy. Arizona is asking two firsts and a prospect. I'm not sure Arizona will get everything they want but I think the sabres offering this trade is a very good trade. protected first, former 1st from 2021, and NHL young RD replacement. Arizona receives a nice pipeline and doesn't deplete depth with their current team.

3. Vancouver
I'll be the first to say i'm not sure this is perfect but I thought it still was a good trade. Boesser is an RFA and doesn't have amazing numbers this year but is a great player. I believe the sabres can offer Vancouver another RW that could offer a reduced contract next year in Oloffson, Peyton Krebs a young potential C, and a 2nd round pick. I'm open to other options but I thought this was a good rebuild package for them.

Let me know what you all think

Referring to Roslovic as a great player is quite a stretch
He’s a fine 3rd liner, but nowhere near “great”

Wouldn’t call Boeser “great” either
But he’s good
You’re overpaying for him though
Olofsson is on pace for 40 goals- that’s valuable, even if most of them are on the PP

Chychrun is a bad idea
Can’t pay him & Power & Dahlin
Gonna need some $$$ for the forwards
Acquiring him to turn around & have to flop him in a year or so just doesn’t make much sense

Trade with Arizona looks fine.

Too much for Boeser, pass.

Mitts for Roslovic is basically a lateral move, then I would look for another center that is better in defense and maybe even plays a hard game, or is more promising.

I think there will be some disagreement, but I'd take that for CBJ. Rosy has had stretches where he is phenomenal, but he has been inconsistent. and I think the FO and coaches have burned some bridges.

The Sabres have 0 interest in Boeser, he isn't even worth that if they were, and they aren't trading that much for a bandaid unless they want to keep him beyond this year and they're a legit player. Not a huge fan of Roslovic and isn't getting top 6 minutes in Buffalo, they should move Mitts to upgrade the D

Mittelstadt for Roslovic, both are basically the same player. They have flashes of brilliance followed by multiple games where they disappear...could "activate" both players to be traded but I'm not sure either team really benefits from acquiring the other player.
Roslovic for picks or prospects would be of better use for the jackets...

Not sure why you consider any of these great.

2023 1st >> Chychrun
Mitts >> Roslovic
Olofsson >> Boeser

Then on top of that you are giving up Rosen (1st rd pick), Krebs(1st round pick), 2nd round pick, Bryson, 7th round pick.

I don't understand where this idea comes from. Oloffson is tied with Tage Thompson for the team lead with 8 even strength goals.
This year, he has 8 EV goals and 3PP
Last year, he had 13 EV 7 PP.

You have to go back to 2020-2021 when he had more PP goals than EV strength. This narrative needs to die.
