Caps decline. Nothing really there is enticing for the Caps. Even the second isn't a 2024. Gurianov is having a rough year and is a UFA. I don't know much about Fegaras, but it doesn't seem like he will be ready to make an NHL impact anytime soon (reminder: Caps are supposed to be in "win-now" mode).

Not disagreeing with your statement above, but Gurianov is an RFA this offseason. Dallas (or Washington in the case of this ACGM) would still retain his rights following the season.

Gurianov is a 25yo 4th liner who doesn't drive play and doesn't score. Fegaras is at least 3 years away from playing professionally, let alone in the NHL. 24 second for a first round pick who is still only 21 is not good value.

Fucale, Eller, and even McMichael are all very much gettable but there has to be something worthwhile coming back to DC.
