Detroit passes, We'd go after Bo Horvat long before Christian Dvorak.

Detroit doesn't need Dvorak. Drouin and Wideman have zero value and Girard is better than Edmundson so no chance. There's nothing in it for Edmonton, why would they give up all those assets for cap dumps?

-Dadonov brings nothing to the table. Josh Anderson also doesn't make sense as a target for Edmonton when they already have a better version of him in Evander Kane. Barrie doesn't really need to be moved and I honestly don't know if Edmonton has anyone else NHL-ready to play RD, so it doesn't make a ton of sense for them to trade an RHD with 13 points in 24 games getting 19+ minutes per night. And adding multiple picks to Montreal's return slants this hilariously towards the Habs. Edmonton is aiming to contend - they're not going to trade out multiple everyday players at the deadline. Contenders are going to want to add depth at the deadline, not trade it away.

-Drouin is somehow hurt *again*. Wideman would be the 7th/8th D on the Avs, and Edmundson is a clear downgrade from Girard. Why would the Avs ever think of making this trade?

-Same thing as the above two - it looks like Detroit is planning on contending. Why would they trade one of their everyday players for a minor upgrade? I could see them potentially targeting a guy like Dvorak to add depth to their forward corps, but they're not going to send back a player that's playing every day for them - it's gonna be picks and prospects most likely.

Detroit would move Suter back to center before trading for Dvorak. Of the players playing center for Detroit this year Dvorak beats out Veleno and not by much. So paying that much Dvorak just isn't that logical.
