That would officially be the biggest return a Goalie ever netted in a trade ... By a lot.

I just make a trade like that because I don't really know what can be his real value.

I'm not saying you are wrong on the value. There is just not a lot of examples of Goalies with that pedigree being traded.

Personally though... I would like the Habs to win games 4-3, 5-4, even 6-5 for a few years. We don't need a great goalie for that.

I think the Habs just need a goalie who can be always consitent and who will able to level up during playoffs time and clutch moments. Also, I don't see Allen & Montembault to became their goalie no1, but Hart have somes potential to became one of them.

Not sure it would be even top-10

Curtis Joseph (two 1sts - #14 pick + #15 pick)
Ken Wregget (two 1sts - #12 pick + #21 pick)
Grant Fuhr (#12 pick + Dave Andreychuk)
Kevin Weeks (#5 overall pick)
Dominik Hasek (1st + Slava Kozlov)
Andrew Raycroft (#1 goalie prospect)
Vesa Toskala (#13 pick, 2nd, 4th) --- (as a UFA who then didn't extend lol)
Tomas Vokoun (#9 pick + two 2nds)
Semyon Varlomov (#11 pick + 2nd)
Ryan Miller (1st, 3rd, top-50 prospect)

Thats not even near to being the highest return for a goalie lmao

And winning games 5-4 doeant mean that you cant have a great goalie
If anything, when your team has a great goalie, your defense can pinch more and really concentrate on offence, cause they know your goalie can bail you out if you turn it over

Hart doesnt really need a change of scenery hes playing very well even despite team results lacking. Harts personal stats are top ten still, also Philly is very injured.
