Going for the cup move by Toronto means taking on a bad player with a bad contract? Drury will have to live with his worst move and have Goodrow for the rest of that awful contract he signed because no one is going to take him off your hands.

I'm not sure because it is that contract is basically made to be bought out worst case scenario. And I think he is like 5th or 6th on the team in points. On top of a very solid two-way game. But I'm not going to say you have too take him in... NYR could just buy him out next off-season smile

Pitlick as a 2C?! What has he ever done that makes you believe he has that in him?

Well nothing really. I think he can perhaps get a few goals playing with Panarin. But if that wouldn't work I would of course move him down, maybe even send him down...

Haha, yes I got that from your first reply. I guess that would be some instant regret on my part if I really trade form.
I don't know, just wanted to shake things up a bit

Maybe Dvorak from the Habs could be a good fit. He's got some offensive skills, but he's also a good defensive center.

Yeah I know he is, but that contract is counter proactive towards what I was trying to create with this deals, cap space. In that case much rather hang on to Blais and Chytil.

Sounds like a lot of cap relief is coming over the next 2 years. 86 and 92M as cap. Is that enough cap relief?

“If i was Colorado i would jump on this,” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. Of course they wouldn’t. You know this. No one is giving a first round pick for chytil, let alone a first and a good prospect.

I like Chytil but that is just too much for him,
Avs easily decline baed on that price.

They got a much better player who was an RFA in Lehkonen for a 2nd and a Prospect, no way that Chytil gets a better return than that

Chytil is what 0.6 is points per game this year so far, on a struggling NYR team. I think they would. But it doesn't matter because you clearly don't so I removed it completely smile

That first is what? 28th or something. But f-ck it, I don't need to trade Chytil, seems like cap is going up more than I thought. I rather keep him then.

the 2023 is the deepest draft in years, so any 1st round pick has tremendous value
and no avs hav to make it to the west finals for it to be that kind of value. Its December and they are 2nd in their division due to injuries, there is no guarantee they are cup bound again based on their injury luck so far

youre the one who is proposing Chytil to the Avs.
NYR was shopping him last offseason as well, Im going to assume the demand on him isnt high so if they move him, its not going to be for a massive return

Yeah, I guess you are right. But if I am Drury I'm not letting him go for anything less. Sorry

IMO, Drury has been very mediocre as a GM so far, his decision making has been pretty puzzling. Do you honestly believe he would nail the return on him?

I beg to differ, but the price is a first or forget about it. He is one of few that is playing at the level one had hoped.

Nils Lundkvist! He has high price on his youth. But he done very questionable signs of veterans, I agree about that smile

he did well there, however he was still on his ELC for 2 more years
Chytil is a pending RFA with something like a 2.5m QO, hasn't hade more than 25 pts in a season, this year will get well beyond that.

I like Chytil as an Avs target, but IMO dont break the bank in trading for him, his production is still an unknown and his contract value could be problematic, having a career year RFA status with Arb rights

Yeah, but he is a fast, high pace two-way forward and face-off is showing signs of improvement. COL have taken bigger gambles and come out wining. Nichushkin and Burakovsky for example. Just saying. While NYR gambles haven't paned out at all (Trouba and Blais) so they probably lose that one even with a first.

No, they would laugh in your face and tell you to kick rocks. It’s a horrible offer.

No one gives a crap about .6 points per game (which isn’t even good) over a stretch of 20 games. It just isn’t in the right universe. Make it a third, chytil isn’t thought of highly….with good reason.
