It doesn't look like they are going to be in a playoff position, if they cant resign him before the deadline they should probably look at adding something to their weak prospect pool
canucksfan43 and TMLBRIAN liked this.

If they can't resign him. They should sell him for the best package. The package listed would be extremely hard to beat.

I still think they should sell Kuzmenko, Schenn and Horvat and leave things on great terms and make it well know that they want to re-sign them in the off season.

So sell them at the deadline and try to get 1-3 of them back in the off-season.

This adds star power but doesn't really tackle Toronto's real problems. And I don't see why you would want Horvat and ROR not to mention resigning either of them would be almost impossible.

Curious, what do you think Toronto's biggest problems are right now?

1.) I don't see the need for the Leafs to go out and get a 3rd line center when you have Matthews and Tavares, its just not a need unless ROR, Horvat, or Tavares can comfortably play the wing. But at that point I would rather get a dedicated winger.
2.) They have to much cap in three players. Ideally trade Tavares.
3.) If you wanted to trade with St. Louis, I would be looking at Faulk or Krug
