2. We might lose Batherson for nothing due to the Hockey Canada scandal.


3. If we won the draft lottery in 2020, we would have picked Lafreniere.


4. Lafreniere could bounce back with a different team like Ottawa.

Lafreniere doesn’t have the puck skills to be a high end nhl player. At best that’s a 2nd line support player. I would not move Batherson for that.

Batherson has one of the best contracts in the NHL and Lafreniere has shown absolutely nothing at the NHL level. No thanks.

I don't know if he sucks it's just that he's a third line grit player who was taken #1 OVER ALL - Not the only high pick who is going to have evolve into a bottom six player if they want to stay in the NHL Byfield, Kakko, PULJUJARVI all fit that description - As a Sabre fan we have a third line composed of players who were pushed off the second and first line it's not the greatest - I'd make a trade Lafreniere but I'm paying for what he is not for what he was suppose to be.

Habs want a chance to "Kirby Dach-enize" him.

I'd give FLO 2023 1st, if it's not top 10, for a shot at Lafreniere. Could end up as good as Dach for MTL.

Imagine a 2nd line with Slafkovsky, Dubois and Laf. Three gritty 30 goals scorer. That would be fun to watch.
