That would probably be an overpayment considering how highly touted those guys are. But I’d love if we pulled one of them in an Orlov trade. Maybe an Orlov trade with an extension gets that return? That’s a big maybe.

They throw Foegele into every trade as if he had any actual value.

Fine taking Murray back for nothing to help balance the books but Foegele's extra year means that something has to come back with him. Would also expect slightly more than just 23 first for Orlov, even though I value 23 picks much higher than normal because of how good this draft is supposed to be.

Using Lindholm deal last year as a comp Orlov (2.5M retained) + Sheary for JP + Foegele + 23 1st + 23 2nd.

Foegele is the closest thing to a hockey terrorist in DC, keep him as far away from the team as possible.

But I think the Caps would at least consider this as long as Edmonton threw in a prospect with some value. Caps could also take Pulju or Yam to even out the cap.
