Haven't really thought about it too in-depth yet but I think I'd take that as EDM.

Edmonton takes that and laughs all the way home. This isn’t a caps fan making this post. All of these values are so far off.

If the Canes can make the cap work out, I can’t imagine they pass that up, especially if they can lock up Orlov to an extension.

Ditch TVR, and one of the 5ths, and maybe that reilly trade is considered.

How is Orlov and Hathaway worth way more than a 1st and a 3rd? How is a washed up Johansson worth more than Gurianov? How is getting Rielly, a 3rd and 5th for a bottom pair ufa far off?

Does it get exhausting being told on every single armchair GM that you don’t know what you’re talking about?

Orlov is worth more than a first on his own. Gurianov is a cap dump, a 0 value asset at best. Reilly is a cap dump and will cost a lot more than 2 nothing picks to dump him. Caps have no incentive to make any of these trades. None of these trades make any sense. This is a pathetic trolling job.

Caps pass on all of these except maybe the Orlov deal, and even then I'd think they would want another significant piece to move him to a division rival.

In the EDM deal they give up a significantly better 4th rounder, their second best asset in Jensen, their third in Sheary, a very serviceable 3c and take back a cap dump for a 2nd, 3rd, and a 3rd liner. Boston is just paying for the Reilly cap dump and needs to add a 23 3rd for TVR. Johansson is moved for a 4th or 5th rather than a 4th liner who doesn't drive play and doesn't score. No point in moving Milano, who they have the space to re-sign and is way more valuable to the Caps than a 2025(!!!!) 4th.

The cap wouldn't work out for the canes but if it did, i'd accept. I would be interested in Orlov alone with double retention, would be the only way to get it to work as far as i know.
