BEEEP...your teammate, one Walter Sobchak drew a firearm during league play. This act contravenes a number of league bylines.

If you know, you know.

I don’t know if I’m taking on OEL’s garbage contract + Boeser’s mediocre one for a 7th and you want to give up THAT much… jeez.

Happily. I’d rather keep both players than retain that much

They will retain nothing on either because this isn’t the twilight zone and the leafs wouldn’t offer them that deal in a million years lol

Jesus these are all awful for the Leafs.

-Both sides decline - this is too much for the Leafs to give up and way too much for the Canucks to retain.

-Ilya Samsonov's put up a .924 SV%/2.09 GAA. There's no world where you should be trading someone performing at that level for a Max Domi. If you really want him, give up something like a 3rd and an Alex Steeves-level prospect, not your 1B goalie, and especially not when your 1A is the man most synonymous with "oft-injured" these days, Matt Murray.

-Somehow this is the worst - a legit 4th/5th D who's been giving you a pretty solid 18 minutes a night (and holding his own at 20+ minutes the last couple weeks) for a guy who can't get off the 4th line on a lottery team? What is this even?

That kind of mindset is what landed the Canucks in 22nd place

Good point, retaining 4.7 million in dead cap for multiple years in return for a bunch of junk plus a first is the way to get to the playoffs

Hawks decline both offers. Domi = 2nd, Entwistle is not for sale at least not for Sandin

For some reason, I find hilarious the image of Kyle Davidson going downstairs on Christmas morning to see if Victor Mete is in his stocking.

(By the way, that deal is awful for the Leafs.)

I think boeser 2M on 2 more seasons retained is not that bad and larsson I know is a bit ridiculous, the Leafs still need 1 top 6 forward and 1 top 4 defensemen in my opinion. I think the Leafs have all the options I submitted to offer up. Cheers guys!

I'm not sure how awful a good back goalie and a bottom 6 DMAN is for a proven top 6-9 forward and a 4TH liner, the Leafs have like 4 guys that can do what sandin does but I am trying to sell him high and it looks like it works.

Seems there's not a consensus, I think there's way too much involved for this to be realistic but the arguments from both sides say to me I made the moves very equal..

Definitely not AWFUL like over reactors claim lol

Samsonov, Malgin, and Mete for Domi with retention is an overpay? I mean... Mete has no value. Malgin doesn't really have much value either. So that leaves Samsonov who is flippable and MIGHT recoup a comparable return to what Domi is worth. But that trade takes up a retention slot and leaves the burden of moving Samsonov on CHI. So, idk... If CHI gets an offer with a prospect(s) they actually have interest in and/or draft picks, they probably take that over this any day of the week. Sandin for Entwistle is definitely an overpay though. I love Enty, but I would probably do that one in a second. Sandin may not have shown much at the pro level yet, but he is still young and his potential is much higher than Entwistle.

The Chicago trades are terrible for the leafs. Sandin is starting to show his potential and why trade Samsonov. Domi doesn't fill any needs and Entwhistle is playing on the 4th line. Don't know anything about Entwhistle, but Sandin is a future top 4 d-man.

For me sandins future means it's time to sell him I'm just thinking go hard for the cup I know it's crazy but if you watch closely liligren is seperation himself from sandin right now and I think this is the year to go heavy so might have to se the future. Maybe Samsonov deserves starter time right now could settle in Chicago. Enjoying the conversation though cheers.

I agree with what your saying except what does Sandin provide that is much more valuable then our logjam of young defenders? We have so many on the left side we are going to have to make some difficult decisions. At the same time, we are so thin with young forwards. Hence why I would keep Entwistle over Sandin

It's a laundry list starting with Korchinski of course, Nolan Allan and Del Mastro who all just got invited to the Canadian juniors. Vlasic, Roos, Kaiser, Galvas and Phillips as well. All lefties...it's a logjam needless to say. All these guys have NHL written all over them and I expect at least 4 out of the 8 if not 6 or 7 to become NHL players.
