Just saw the AGM title; didn't even need to look at the proposal. The answer is no. We are not trading Jenner - he's our Captain, just extended on a sweetheart deal, and is the most reliable two-way center we have.

I made an AGM targeting Boone a few days ago. Columbus fans all said he is not for trade. I offered them a substantially package as well. I do think he is a perfect fit though!

Yeah very doubtful that Columbus trades their Captain. Boone Jenner is signed to a pretty sweet 3 x $3,750,000 contract.

If the leafs are trading for a 3rd line center they might as well trade Kampf in the deal. Kampf only getting 4th line minutes is just a waste of a great shutdown center and faceoff guy. Imo, the leafs need a top 6 LW with physical play that goes in the dirty areas. Center isn't a issue unless your looking for a 4th line guy.

Toronto has a habit of giving up first round picks for Columbus captains

Good thing fans don't run the team. There's no reason for CBJ to not consider trading Jenner. He's 29, in the midst of the best season of his career, has term, and is affordable at a time where that's vital. His value will likely never be higher. Doesn't really fit Columbus's timeline, either. If Jarmo doesn't listen to calls, he's not doing his job.

Guys, we all agree Jenner would be the most perfectest Leaf there ever was and he’s no better than a third line winger on a Real team, so he shouldn’t even cost much. But there is no way he’ll be traded this year. Or next. Even fake feeder teams like Columbus need stability and leadership. I know, HUGE bummer for those stable leader-type players to waste away in purgatory. But you and Jenner himself can wait two or three years for him to become available. And then you can wait five or six for Sillinger and Johnson and Jiricek. Don’t worry, friends. Neither of our teams are winning the Cup before then anyway.

He'll probably listen to calls but I don't think a package like this is something he takes unless he's able to secure a 1 or 2C in another trade. Dubas on the other hand, is probably not offering anything substantial for him. I don't think any GM would be with the guys who could be available.

Would you have preferred an answer of "we'll consider it if we get back Tavares double-retained?"

He's too valuable here. Stop acting like we exist only to give you players.

Hmm, possibly.

I'd do that in a heartbeat

- Kerfoot > Joseph

- Get rid of Joseph near 3.0 AAV x 3 years

- Hirvonen + 3rd for free
