I don't see any point in making that Sandin trade

Wow, this awful for the Leafs. Trading two regular Dmen for one. Trading the 3rd goalie, Taking on Boesner cap for years. And giving up a first also.
Leafs are worse this year and in the future.

This team already has a ton of firepower, they don't need to make 3 trades that get rids of key defensive players for offense. So moving one of Engvall or Kerfoot for a more offensive forward might make sense but not all these moves at once.

If Vancouver was willing to retain some, I'm sure Dubas would be all over that but the whole purpose of them trading him is to clear cap, so they probably won't be.

Our defence and defensive depth has done an amazing job lately. Holl and Sandin have been very good. Trading Sandin ++ for a mediocre pending UFA is just bonkers to me. And trading Holl for a forward doesn't make any sense either. IF Holl gets traded it would be for a dman upgrade.

I don't love that Chicago deal either.

I think we only need to make one move and that's to add a top 6 winger or a top 6 winger who can preferably play centre if needed.

So Horvat and O'Reilly would be nice but super expensive. Kuzmenko would be very nice. Barbashev may be a decent option as well and he may not cost a 1st.

Just my 2cents.

I don't see any way to get Horvat considering he's worth one of the Leafs top 4, I doubt the blues are willing to move O'Reilly I'd assume they would rather add to their veteran team than subtract. At the end of the day I'm looking for 1-2 forwards definitely 1 in the top 6 and 1 top 4 D needed to replace Muzzin.

I can see gostisbehere and Giordano absolutely controlling the play everytime they're on the ice, I think Holl and sandin are going to make more mistakes than solutions overall don't forget Murray is playing out of his shoes right now also.

Mete, Hollowell and Timmins even Kral and Dahlstrom are all at the level of sandins play right now, liligren has been a complete rock all season but sandin is a bit soft, Holl is softer than a soup sandwich.
