I still see that #2 C spot as being the clear weakness on this team. If they get Horvat or O'Reilly, this team would be GROSS.

Of course they would cost a lot and it sounds like Sakic doesn't like paying for pure rentals but there are a lot of great teams this year. I would go all in if I were Colorado and get one of those guys.

Why would they bring back JJ? If the team or he wanted to stay he wouldve signed at the same price in Colorado. Im puzzled as to why he didnt stay in Denver and just be their 7th. It made sense to me to just resign him last off season, but my guess is he just wanted to play more now that he's got a ring.

If the price is just a 6th, that’s totally fine. Bring him in as a 7D that you’re comfortable with playing PK.

Is Poolparty’s value that low? I like Meyers, but I feel like the price would be higher.

no i agree with you. I would also make that move cause a 6th means nothing to Colo compared to the stability they would get from JJ. I just dont understand why he didn't resign with them.

I can't imagine Edmonton sending Puljujarvi to Colorado for that price. All they'd be doing is potentially strengthening some of their top competition in the West for a very minimal return. If that's all he's worth, I'm sure there's a team in the East that'll take the flyer on him
