This is awful for the Canucks. We already have a weak prospect pool, and you have us trading our top prospect and next two 1sts when we aren’t a contender

Why does Calgary do that? They have enough ypung players that can't make the roster

The biggest issue with the Canucks is the defense. Trading firsts suck, how ever I don't think lekarmaki or rathbone are going to be NHLERs and the canucks should trade them while they still have value

Unprotected first in a deep draft, plus Calgary has to many Dmen and need a forward

You're at least $1,500,000 to $2,000,000 under for Bo Horvat. With the kind of season he's having. He sure as hell isn't signing for no $7,000,000 per.

Calgary passes.

And fat chance of Erik Karlsson waiving for Vancouver. And fat chance of Mike Grier eating $20,000,000 on Karlsson for the next 5 years.

The Canucks are in no position to be trading 1st round picks. Calgary isn't going to trade Hanifin and San Jose isn't going to retaining $16M over 4 years.

I love Horvat but he isn't a 8-9 million player over 8 years.

Canucks literally have 0 prospects or picks now that you have done this. 0 consideration for the future. Congrats, you just ruined a franchise

Maybe not, But he's getting more than $7,000,000 per. Reportedly Yzerman wants him and is willing to pay him $8.500,000 long term.

That would be a pretty brutal move by Yzerman. Think that talk is coming from the agent, 7mill for a guy career high 61 points, granted he should break that this year how ever I just can't justify any team giving him more than Dristial

If Lekarmaki and Rathbone are your best pieces your franchise was already in trouble

Exactly, and you just made it worse by trading them and our first round picks for the next 2 years.....

Draisaitl is making $8,500,000 with a much lower salary cap. The salary cap could be as high as $92,000,000 by 2025 Horvat making $8,500,000 with a supposed $86,500,000 salary cap is much different than Draisaitl making $8,500,000 in a $70,000,000 salary cap era.

That may be the largest collection of cap dumps ever in one deal for EK65.
