How come I am seeing a lot of Sabres fans moving Mittelstadt lately? Has he been playing bad or just making space for younger players?

Honestly I have no clue haha, I don't think he's played too much on the right side if I'm being honest.

Personally I'm not a fan of bringing Joki back to Chicago, but the trade value is very fair. I'd think the Hawks accept that offer. Well done.

Unfortunately for Mittelstadt he's had Olofsson stapled to his wing all season, and Olofsson seems checked out half the time. That combined with Mittelstadts skillset not really fitting what Buffalo probably needs from a 3C right now leads to him being a logical piece that could be moved. He could probably also use a change of scenery, whether that's by moving Olofsson or him something needs to be done there.

No reason for Devils to do this. Devils don't need quantity of assets.

Casey started the season great with 7 pts in his first 9 games and winning over 50% of his FO.
A change of scenery could make all of the difference for him.
Stanley with Lyubushkin could turn into a hit parade.

Shouldn’t matter
He’s a 3rd pair defenseman & not a guy we should consider pairing with Power

Never said to pair with Power, I misread and thought he was playing RD on Daily Line Combinations. And he's 24, only played 100gms in the league. Who knows how good or bad he would be in another system.

My bad
I assumed u asked about him on the Right Side as a possibility to pair with Power

I don’t think we’d need him for RD on the 3rd pair as we have Lyubushkin

Idk that it’s so much that we like it, as much as it’s just a necessity when your 3 best defensemen are all left handed

Not very well they can’t
And the only reason they played any RD for us was injuries,
not bc we actually wanted them in the right side

No they actually can play that position because they have done it in other leagues.

Your last response didn’t seem like it
None of those guys played the right side *in the NHL* very well
And again,
the Sabres only even played them on that side bc of injuries
