I don't think MTL would trade Caufield for anything in the world right now, unless it's stupid return. That said, this conversation must start with Beniers and an unprotected 1st. Caufield is just too good.

Chris Driedger is out for the year, With a torn ACL. You're not getting no 3rd round pick for him.

Zero chance of Vancouver trading Luke Schenn to a divisional rival like Seattle for a lousy 4th round pick.

I don't see the Wild giving up a 4th for a player that hasn't played a game this year and has no time-table as to when he might return for an unknown injury. If this is just to dump his contract then the Kraken will be paying the Wild to take his contract.

Washington doesn't have the cap for Wennberg when Backstrom returns, Eller would already have to be moved out when Backstrom comes back. Doesn't work or make a lot of sense for DC.
