I wouldn't give up Zadina to get JP so I really don't want to give up a 3rd for him.

Honestly, you did well for Edmonton here. If they can’t win the cup with those additions to McDavid & co, they never will.

All the trades are pretty even, except that Detroit likely doesn’t want Puljujarvi but the value isn’t off. Also, the Horvat deal could MAYBE require a little more since it’s future 1st.

Nice job overall tho.

If they could flip Foegele next season and the cap goes up a few mil, they can re-sign Horvat and they’ve got 3 years of having the best team in the league. Sure beats wasting watching the best player we’ve ever seen getting bounced in the 1st or 2nd round every year.

Well worth it.

I don't disagree. Pittsburgh did it the entire Crosby Malkin reign.

I wouldn't mind giving Pulujärvi a shot in Detroit but I wouldn't give up a 3rd for him. We have too many left wingers so I'd be happy to trade Erne for Jesse straight up.

We will keep our 3rd. Detroit could probably work something out for jp for someone like Pearson, toumisto, Barton or maybe Smith. All are T wrights guys.

You don’t give away three1st rounders for an expiring contract. An extension at a club friendly level would be needed.
