So JJ Cozens Quinn at 21 and younger are just destined to be 2nd line guys and cannot get better and become 1st line players. So a kid who is 18 and starts on the 3rd line and grows can't move to the 2nd line or 1st. You play your little word games and try to sound smart. Same **** on Hockeybuzz. Never once said he couldn't grow from a 3rd line player, but I will sure say he will make are Team better on the 3rd line to start.

          Jfc, talk about unnecessary

I wasn’t even disagreeing with you
Just trying to CLARIFY your opinion on Kulich bc the 2 statements u made were contradictory

AGAIN, i wasn’t even disagreeing with you

Have u been hanging out with Beady?
Bc there’s absolutely no need whatsoever for you to fly off the handle ffs

Seth jones won't waive for Montreal, he won't waive for any Canadian team.

And he already said no to Philadelphia, Anaheim has an internal budget they're not taking on his $9,000,000+ for the next 8 years.

And why would he waive for Buffalo and Seattle?

Beady Would be the last person I would hang out with. And my opinion is pretty high on him if I won't trade him and this isn't the first trade on here Kulich name has been involved and you know that, and probably said No to 95% of them. You don't exactly come of with the way you talk as agreeing, more as flipping the script. I apologize for taking it wrong.

There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in my post to set you off
Go back & quote EXACTLY what i said that was the problem

That contract termination BS is just that . . . BS. You can't do that.

No way do the Hawks keep salary for 8 years! That's really the only reason to trade him -- Davidson would probably prefer not to be weighed down by that salary when the team is competing, he needs to give raises and sign FAs and Jones is on the downside of that deal.

The only way a Jones trade will work is if the Blackhawks take a similarly sized (AAV) bad deal in return. And you need a desperate GM who is willing to throw all his eggs in for a roster currently in the window. If Jones can seriously get you a Cup, you wouldn't feel so bad about overpaying him on the downside when you're likely rebuilding.

But shopping around for a bad contract is more of how we work on armchair GM than how real GMs work. Also, to the extent the trading team is taking on salary . . . forget about any kind of decent return.

Basically the only way for a contract termination is to have a breach of contract, something that happens that the player breaks team rules, and the NHL PA loses a grievance hearing. (You’ll have to click on the tweet to get all 4 parts)

That's a way that the club can terminate the contract if the player doesn't want to, and there is of course the buyers remorse way in a buyout, but if both player and team mutually decide to terminate, it can be done.

Ex: Dustin Byfuglien and the Jets agreed to mutually terminate his contract in 2020.

Thank you for clarifying the situation.
          Sort of mutual agreement.
The player refuses an assignment (Zach Bogosian refused to go to the AHL and Patrik Berglund refused to report to the club as other examples) and the club terminates his contract.

I wonder if Seth Jones were put on waivers if a club would claim him?
@BUFF36 who is Beady? Even with his cap hit he would be a huge upgrade for the Sabre RHD for free!
@sound_arguments not specifically "mutual" but the player refuses an assignment or does not report.

          No problem.

I'd venture to guess after the 24-25 season might be the time for it, as that's the highest paid point in the contract.
