I’d also make sure Blankenburg is signed, he and Werenski looked really good together then they were both healthy.

Would Peeke cost more or less than Boqvist?

Marginally more. Peeke is a defensive defenseman, plays tough, and can stay healthy. Boqvist is... none of those, but he has draft pedigree and he's offensively gifted.

From the Sens perspective I'd rather Peeke over Boqvist then. We already have Chabot, Sanderson, and Brannstrom we need a defensive defenceman.

Problem is, so does Columbus. Lot of soft offensive boys and very little grit. In a vacuum, Peeke isn't really worth that much, but like Jenner his skillset is very rare for his current team so it'd take some kind of overpay. For now, anyway. Next season is much, much more likely since Jiricek will be in the lineup.

He's basically a hedge for Jiricek at this point. The issue with Jiricek isn't skill right now its he's still a 19 year old boy that needs to fill out more as we saw what happened with Boston. He knows what he needs to do and his anticipation is amazing but his body isn't ready yet. Look how much KJ grew after a summer and especially Chinakhov. Whatever Jarmo fed Chinny needs to go to Jiricek. Yet for real I fully expect Gudbranson to be bought out in the 2024 summer.
