Sub .500 teams don't usually become contenders the next year. And ROR lost his passion for hockey when he played for Buffalo, no shot he signs there.

Nashville needs an NHL RD back in a Fabbro trade. Good value though

Game off of .500 and playing like a +.500 team. Highest scoring team in the NHL.

Agree about ROR. He isn't signing in buffalo. Same with guys like Lehner.

Mittlestadt has little interest from the Canes.

Most fun team to watch this year for sure. Crazy how good Tage Thompson is.

That's why it's a long shot, but it's a completely different team. There's like 2 of the same players here from when he left. Sabres rn have one of the most explosive offenses in the league, with a couple flaws (goaltending, 3rd line issues, inconcsistent defending outside their main 3), being fixed away from being a very very good team. Especially with how young the team is, and how much they've grown from just last year, if a good amount of these issues are fixed, why can't they contend for a spot?

Fair didn't make too much sense to me but saw a Canes fan post a similar trade

It was a Sabres fan, but your point is valid. Canes still pass easy, Mittelstadt would be the 4C, it's not worth this price.

I had proposed a Coghlan/Bryson swap, with the Canes adding slightly extra for retention and/or even out value. That proposal seemed to go over relatively well.
