Cap space to resign Petey

Tbh not wild but the IFA options with lots of cap to spend. Went with ROR if he’d sign to be better on team D & vet stability. Mayfield for the defensive RHD needed. Also thought on Gudas or LHD Gavrikov.

Trying to make a roster that's bigger & harder to play against & find more consistent play. Allow to draft & develop while restocking the pipeline.

Bo Horvat isn't taking 8 years @ $8,000,000 in Vancouver, Pretty much said $8,500,000 per long term at the very least.

You're at least $1,000,000 short on AAV for Kuzmenko.

Ryan O'Reilly gets more term, Possibly slightly more AAV as well.

Scott Mayfield gets at least $1,500,000 more on AAV and more term as well.

And i'm pretty sure Zaitsev already said no, To waiving to Vancouver.

That is another retooling and not rebuilding which the team needs right now. Why would the Canucks head in this direction by overpaying for Reilly which seems to be pushing for playoffs.
