A Leaf development camp invite to this 👏👏👏 Nice to see Moore get rewarded.

Always loved him as a Leaf

Not a fan of this contract. Seems like one of those bloated middle 6 contracts that don't allow teams to compete for the Cup.

A bit more than I'd like, but not high enough for me to vote no. $3.75M would have been ideal.

Not sure what to make of this contract. His comparable are guys like Marchment and Mikheyev who make more and have contributed less, and he's been great with the Kings as he's on pace for another season just shy of 50 points, but it's slightly more than what I'd pay him and it's a bit long.

Great if it keeps playing like he does now, less great if he drops off and you see him in every ACGM cap dump.

Super happy for Moore! I was sad when the Leafs traded him. He is such a heart and soul type of guy. A bit expensive for a guy I think would be best suited on a 3rd line or a top 6 complimentary grinder role but it's not terrible! Happy for him and his family smile

I love this signing! An early Christmas present! With the forward roster now effectively set for both this season and next, we now know what our budget is for addressing the defense. Great job, Rob Blake!

Better than a 3rd liner but not a true top 6 forward.
Ehh not a good or bad deal.

Danault is getting his linemates paid as always

FYI : Moore-Danault-Arvidsson is the #1 line in time on ice together this season with a 54% xGoals, not bad

Those who are saying no. Watch him play. Not the stat sheet or analytics. This kid is good. He plays with heart every shift. Honestly a shorter version of Zach Hyman. I wish he was a Leaf again every day.

Anyway good signing.

He doesn't do f/offs and if he does, he loses more than he wins, hint hint. Scoring isn't there, because if it was, he'd have higher numbers. His positive is his puck control, but he's a winger, and now LAK is short 4 M for next season. Anaheim, how are things looking for you??

4+M against the cap seems to be the going rate for players like Moore. This deal doesn't suprise me at all

Nobody questions Moore's character or compete, but nobody is misguided to question his offensive ability long-term

Don't disagree. I think it's fair if he keeps up his current level of production for the full 5 years. If it falls off at all, it's not going to be good value.

Like I said, not high enough for me to consider it a bad signing, but a bit higher than I would have gone if I were the GM.

I like Moore but this is about 1 million overpay per year to me unless he takes big steps moving forward.

He took big steps last year, and is keeping it up this year. If he can maintain his current level of production for the next 5 years, then it's a fair value signing.

If he drops off at all (as 30 year old players tend to do), then It could look bad in the later years.

As a pending UFA I'm not really surprised by the AAV and term. LAK didn't have as much leverage as they'd have liked despite Trevor being a hometown player. I'd grade this extension a B-. His production has been solid, but we've seen several UFA middle six Wingers disappoint in recent years after signing big contracts.

How much is the cap going up this summer? Maybe this won't look as bad after we seeing what they could have gotten on the free market.
