the canucks would need to add their 1st to trade myers to the leafs with 50% retention, the leafs dont need him, they dont want him, and he wouldnt even be the first in line for an injury replacement

Can’t see the Bruins giving up Carlo right now. Maybe they’d consider it in the offseason but contending teams don’t usually give up players like him midseason

Take out Debrusk you are much closer In terms of value however…

Makes zero sense for Bs as they don’t have the cap space to sign both Pasta and Bo next year anyway. And they don’t need him now. Under no circumstance does it “make sense” for them.

We already have hoffman last thing we want or need is another overpaid soft underperfoming winger/sniper

In what world do the Leafs (or any team) need middling Dman at 4m this year and next.
You have to explain why the Bruins would ge going "all in" with Horvat? How does that trade make the Bruins better this year? It certainly makes this worse in the future?

Ahhhhahahhahahah. Would it make sense for the bruins? Young top for d man with term and their first line winger who’s second on the team in points? Would it make sense to strip that off the roster?

Of course not. No teams ever do that while trying to win. It’s not a real life concept. It’s never happened in the cap era, and it’s not going to happen now.

The bruins get worse short term, and long term, and give up a first in the process. No.

I think if the two sides are having a conversation and carlo is brought up, it ends the conversation. It’s just a thoroughly unreasonable ask based on all precedent.

Or you know, their second leading scorer.

If It's just a cap dump, you cool with taking Dadonov instead?

Terrible deals.

Why replace Boeser with the same problem?

And the Bruins deal isn't even close to value for Horvat and Schenn.

Zero interest in taking Boeser's contract for the two seasons after this one.

You’re right, it’s like triple the value.

Didn’t even realize Debrusk was in the trade as well, for whatever reason I thought it was Smith. That makes it really bad for the Bruins.

Drouin is UFA, Habs dont need a replacement in Boeser. He's the Canucks problem. They shouldnt have tendered a deal in the 1st place at that number. Their miscalculation not the Habs. Deal with it!
