Big time Boston trade

Description
I think this works out really well for both teams, but what do I know. Okay so Carlson signs an extension with his hometown team and the Bruins get a top pairing immediate impact RHD, as well as bolstering their left hand d prospects with Siegenthaler. Bruins ultimately get rid of one of their plethora of right hand defenseman and in the process dump McQuaids contract which allows them to re-sign Carlson. Caps get an elite rhd "prospect" for Carlson as opposed to him staying one more year and losing him for nothing to ufa. This also allows the Caps to protect Schmidt in the expansion draft since McAvoy doesn't need to be protected. Trading Grubauer to Arizona allows the Caps to dump Orpiks contract rather than losing Gruby to Vegas for nothing. I think GMGM would take Wilson because he drafted him so yeah I did that.

Boston says no, why trade a young controllable McAvoy for Carlson who is going to cost way more.

Bruins dump McQuaids contract and get a great LHD prospect which they need, I think it really benefits both sides

I don't see Washington doing this trade but it's pretty fair.

Bruins don't need LHD prospects. Have you seen our LHD Prospects? Probably the best in the league. Go check it out. McAvoy is going to be a legit number 1 D man in a few years. Honestly Bruins would laugh at this trade.

Bruins could find a different partner to dump McQuaid without having to give up McAvoy. I'm sure Siegenthaler is a good prospect, but Boston had their own LHD that are really good. Zboril was a former #1 pick and Lauzon open a lot of eyes at the WJC last year. RHD seems to be the harder position to fill, so I'd rather have McAvoy. In the playoffs you wouldn't have known he had zero NHL games under his belt and most nights he was our best defensive players and sometimes one of our best players overall.

To be fair Zboril was picked 13th overall but I get your point. Carlson and a pick for Carlo and McQuaid?

We can get more from AZ than a 5th. I know they are taking Orpik but Grubauer is worth a 1st alone so a compromise might be at least a 2nd since they have 2 1st rd picks. I've had them taking Orpik for a 3rd since he's a valuable veteran leader for a young team

I think the response fits the mock ACGM. Brootul for the Bruins.
