The benefit is getting out of the Henrique contract, which they tried to do by waiving the guy last year. The ducks should also be trying to lose. win-win

Like the idea, but once Rielly is off LTIR it is going to be hard to fit in the Henrique and ROR contracts

its a hell of an offer for ROR. they arent going to do much better than that, maybe get an extra asset. Youre not exactly getting a superstar

Problem is Toronto has a few players that someone in the league would want. No one is interested in the rest. Yet your fan base seems to spit out these ROR trades every hour and expect Blues to just give you a thumbs up for a bunch of nothing.

So you think that the cost of a guy good enough to play on Toronto's second line (who leads Anaheim in face-off percentage, by the way) is a cusp AHLer/NHLer, a veteran UFA who has played all of 7 games this season and recently cleared waivers, and an over-the-horizon fourth-round draft pick?

Henrique is a captain-quality veteran who can still produce at a 40-point pace and would be an excellent #3C for the Maple Leafs if you didn't already have David Kampf. For that package, you would be lucky to get Chase De Leo.
