Isles do not want Boeser, they need players with speed.

I guess Schenn learned how to skate and became 10 years younger?

I think the Horvat deal is more than fair value and I see the short term fit for Colorado. But Colorado fans really really really oppose trading for Horvat. Almost unanimously. The biggest reason is that they don't want to pay for a rental, they know they can't extend.

I would be shocked if Schenn gets a first. I assume he gets the Kulak treatment which I think was 2nd + 7th + nothing prospect for contract purposes.

I have proposed Boeser for Bailey + 1st. Islander fans didn't like it but I personally see the fit.

Edmonton trade is interesting to me. Kuzmenko on Edmonton would be so much fun. Especially if they can extend him. BUT that would be made difficult since you also traded for Garland. I would need to make an Edmonton AGM to see if this makes sense or not.

Bingo. It’s the same on every thread, I feel like we should set up an auto reply.

The only trades that the Avs would/should be open to would be pure futures, but Canucks fans are obsessed with getting one of Girard, Newhook, or Byram AND a 1st. Not happening

No way we do that. We have too many Dman. Maybe if you put Martinez from us in the trade we accept, but, other than that, no

I have suggested 1st + Olausson + 3rd (if needed) for the reasons you mentioned. Avs fans still get mad at me. So I stopped.

I am not a Canucks fan though. I just see the fit.

Kuzmenko could definitely fetch a 1st. Boeser maybe if a cap dump is taken back in the deal, but I’d be surprised

I see the fit there, especially if it’s a 2024 1st. Any time I have seen that trade, Canucks fans come in droves to reject it.

Oil and water I guess.

isles fans don't want Boeser because he's one of the worst players in the NHL. Can't blame anyone for not wanting to see their team trade a 1st for a 4th liner.

Not just Avs fans.

Since Joe Sakic retired in 2009, the Colorado Avalanche have never traded more than a 3rd round pick for an in-season rental. The closest trade to what Vancouver wants for Horvat would be last season when the Avs lost the game of goalie musical chairs and had to send a 1st, a conditional 3rd, and Connor Timmins for Darcy Kuemper (btw - that is the only first round pick the Avs have traded with Joe Sakic in charge). As much as Canucks fans want to marry Horvat to Colorado, the Avs will not give them their desired return.

You want Edmonton to take Garland AND pay through the nose for him? Not likely.
