I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing...past 4 years of playoffs for the Avs, they've had to go to their backup for multiple games three times, and their 3rd stringer for multiple games twice. (2020/21 was just solo Grubby). Not saying it's a necessity, because Annunen is a fine option as well, but there is a bit of sense to having that insurance plan in place.

they also have Johas Johannson who they like and are comfortable wiith. Carrying a third goalie on the NHL roster and using their limited cap space isnt really the smartest asset management
they need to focus on areas of actual need, not on hypotheticals

I don't disagree at all! Just pointing out that there is some degree of sense to it. Completely agree that it's not the wisest asset management, and am patiently waiting for you to send your 2023 1st for Rico 50% retained.

Where's TB getting this cap? No one wants Myers. About the only cap TB dumps IMO . TBs right side is pretty solid actually Perbix, Cernak, Bogosian, Foote are a solid group. Especially with the left side of Hedman, Sergachev, Cole, and Fluery. Myers is in Syracuse if they get desperate.

I mean, I do. But even if they aren’t, is Anthony Stolarz the answer?

This trade doesn’t do anything for the Avs except waste a 4th round pick.

I think that Stolarz goes one round higher and Grant goes one round lower. Other than that, I like what you've done here.

Agreed on that but Georgiev when teamates make comments about you like "Make a F***ING save once in a while" even if the comments come from an a$$hole like DeAngelo you know other teamates are thinking it.

what Georgiev has shown in his time in Colorado do not align with that narrative from the Rangers side.

He might be the most talented goalie, especially athletic wise the Avs have had since Varlamov. He makes plenty of saves. many that he has no business of making bc of his ability to push cross crease, you see the raw athletic talent there on a nightly basis

That comes out of a team that has to be bailed out by goaltending night in and out. Avs when healthy don't need it like the Rangers. If you build your goalie outlook based off what A.D says, I would have to see your other views in life.

if the avs can win a cup with a goalie with one good eye, they will be fine wiht Georgiev in net
and francouz swept the oilers in the western finals. Once again they are more than fine in net

I diasgree there, he is the most positionally sound/square we have had in along time. Kuemper is much more athletic. Georgiev gets cemented in his movements where a more athletic goalie tends to recover better in desperation. Not better or worse, just a different way of getting there.

My point using DeAngelo's comment is he is enough of an A$$hole to say it. How many other teamates silently think it? Small sample size so far. He wasn't the most popular Ranger with other teamates either.

Yeah no Kadri no Burkovski aren't as good as last year's team and the Lightning we're a f***ING skating mash unit.Good luck getting past the 2nd round.

I still think it shows to A.D's character more than anything. You dont air that out in earshot of the public. Very rarely is a goal scored with only the goalie to blame.

Avs had injuries too. Don’t act like they were healthy

Burakovsky was a healthy scratch and injured during the playoffs, but they have Rodrigues now

They didn’t gave girard jn the finals, so their d core will be deeper

Not having kadri sucks but they can add a player at the deadlibe

It’s just a game my man, don’t get so angry about it,

Listen, the Avs had too many men... It's no shock they lost Kadri(missed a lot of games) and Bura(scratched games).

I agree as I said "he is enough of an A$$hole to say it." But you can't think other teamates while never publicly make the comment didn't think it. Ofcourse it's usually just not the goalie but if you want to win he's got to bail out a lot more than being bailed out.

You're not wrong, but when healthy, Avs have a lot of games where the shots are under 25 and a good amount in the teens. They are the model defense and Georgiev gets to utalize it. Anyone who says to the Avs "good luck with that goaltending", the Avs can say good luck with that defense.

If the Canes were going to make a trade for Klingberg, it would have been at some point last season. Now they have Burns, who is an upgrade on Klingberg, why would they overpay for Klingberg just to sit him on the 3rd pairing? Besides, Chatfield can kill penalties and is very reliable defensively. Not to mention that the Canes traded Bear so they could free up the RHD logjam a bit, why would they trade for another RHD? The Klingberg to Carolina rumors were dead as soon as the Canes made the move for Burns. Give it up already. If the Canes make a move with the Ducks, it’s likely for one of Comtois, Kulikov, or Vatrano.

Literally every goalie ever had a bad night sometimes. Deangelo is just an asshole.
