Is he in Buffalo's long term plans? I've seen him traded for around a third but I think this could be a better return for them.

I could see a trade like this working on the other hand KA and DG probably think they can voodoo Mittelstadt like they did Tage Thompson.

Voodoo, that's funny. It wouldn't be a bad trade, but he isn't signed yet, and I believe he just signed over in Sweden. Would he even sign in Buffalo, not like we don't have a bit of trouble with that.

Middlestadt has real trade value cause he can produce at center or at wing., I’m not sure why the Sabres would do this tbh. I wouldn’t want to accept less than a second for him tbh.

Kid was a 2nd rnd pick, 34 or 35th. Probably should have a pick added to it, but don't think they would do it anyway unless they were positive he would sign.

I believe so. He was playing NCAA if I remember correctly and I think he wanted to play a bit tougher league.

To get a chance to play why wouldn't he?

Yeah recently a second round pick by Yzerman and developing nicely. Playing in Sweden now and could likely be a candidate to play back over here next season either in the nhl or AHL.

He could, but the Sabres are being bitten a bit with prospects not signing. We might loose 2 more this off-season. Could complicate things

Have until August 2024 to sign so I would expect that Yzerman rather leave contract space open, not sure how it works when playing overseas to be honest. I chose him nothing to do with him not being signed just more the fact that Buffalo could use a RHD like him in my opinion. Detroit could very easily as well as we don't have anything in the pipeline after him. I figured we could maybe focus on drafting a couple RHD early this draft and that would fix that problem, at least if they are worth it at those picks.

Which two are those? Buffalo finally seems to be trending in a better direction so it might be a bit more desirable for players. I've never been there so I don't know anything about the city.

I like the idea, just a little hesitant because of the signing thing. Mitts has the talent, he needs a new start. Be interesting having him and Power together. 2 very Big Kids.

Honestly I'm not sure exactly but I think Tuomisto plays a more defensive style of game which could allow someone like Power or Dahlin to play more to their offensive skillsets that I think was a biggest draw to each of them. That's too bad about Portillo and Johnson but they both seem to be pushed down the depth chart. Not alot of room on LD for Johnson. Portillo well who knows there.
I also think giving Mittelstadt a fresh start on a team that is trending in the right direction might help him.

If he's actually being shopped if absolutely go get him. He's been a half a point player for a couple years he just can't stay on the ice. He's worth a gamble on. I think he has actual value though so the price is probably a 3rd along with a guy like tuomisto.

I would want a second round pick and a b level prospect. IK this kid was a second rounder, but idk enough about him to confidently say this is fair to Buffalo.

Then why did you comment? It's rare when someone confidently asserts an opinion and in the same sentence admits they don't know what they're talking about. Lmao.

I said idk enough about the prospect, but he’s probably worth more than a former second round pick who has never played an NHL Game. His numbers don’t pop when you look at his statistics, but I’m not looking to argue about it.

Ummm. Isn't that what you're doing? You admit you don't know anything about a prospect except he hasn't played in the NHL yet but you feel confident enough to assert your opinion. Hey guess what; Connor Bedard hasn't played in the NHL yet either so by your logic hes not worth Middlestadt either. Let me clarify that I actually agree that a pick would probably need to be added but definitely not a 2nd but that's because I actually know something about Tuomisto. I just think it's funny that you offered a confident opinion on a player you admittedly don't know anything about. I mean that takes some serious hubris.

I love these comments:
Tuomisto has a cannon of a point shot, with both accuracy and power. His hands are quite smooth, McKeen's Hockey 2019
When he’s on his game, he makes a good first pass with good accuracy, Hockeyprospect.com 2019
He displays powerful strides and is hard to knock off the puck, Future Considerations 2019

Casey is "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma,"
He started the season great winning over 50% of his FO and scoring 7 pts in his first 9 games.
Since then his FO% has dropped while only getting 6 pts in his next 17 games.
Lately his game has picked up and he has 4 pts in his last 4 games. He is much more involved, fighting for the puck, winning more FO, making better decisions while skating and passing better.
Along with many other Sabres his game tailed off when Krueger was the coach, but picked up when Granato took over.

Tuomisto is still a prospect while Cassey with his ups and downs he is still on pace for 45 pts
Bottom line Tuomisto is just the sort of prospect that the Sabres need, big RHD 35th OA the same year Ryan Johnson was drafted.
While Adams may accept the one for one, Karmanos could negotiate for more.
EDIT
@Isles5513 and @RedWing9119 you know you both agree the Wings should add more, does it matter how we come to that conclusion?
Let's stop the silly back and forth.

I offered my opinion on what that level of player the 35th pick usually worth. Or at least that’s what I intended.

To be fair, all I said was I don’t know too much about the guy. As far as I’m aware he’s not a super high end prospect tho.
