Regarding Schenn, I believe that's the right value, wrong team.

Seattle currently has an even mix of natural left and right handed defensemen, with Will Borgen as their third pair RHD. He already provides most of what Schenn would. Maybe the situation changes by the deadline in such a way that this deal would make sense for them, but for now Seattle would be better served holding onto their spare picks to build up the prospect pool or using them to address more pressing areas of need, like goaltending. I think Vancouver would likely have no problem getting at least a second rounder for Schenn (and perhaps more) from any number of other teams with a shortage of competent RHD.

I think the devils say yes please and run as fast as they can the other way with Quinn Hughes.

And the Pens say No Thanks. Lol. Miller seems like a cancer. Take Kappy and a 1st and maybe. Vancouver already ruined Miller price tag and leverage in trading him.

And no way Horvat as a rental brings back that return.

I’ve already seen a lot of articles saying Horvat to the Pens for Kappy and POJ or Kappy and Ty Smith. And the Pens have the cap space this off season to resign him; Vancouver does not. I’d much rather Hovat as a rental and the Pens resign him this offseason than Miller.

The Horvat return is like Copp who is not the player Horvat is.

JT would be great in Pitt.

Horvat for anything Kap+ is laughable. Van can re-sign Bo no problem, just depends how high he wants to go and how that might impact Kuzmenko.

Guess he is trolling as a Leafs guy. They don't need wingers or LHD that neither have made an impact or projected to make an large impact. They've said if it was a hockey trade it would be for a young RHD or center.

Good luck. Hope u get what u want in return. I guess we’ll see. Sucks they picked Miller over Horvat.

Btw, POJ has been great and a future 1st pairing D-man. He’ll be getting Calder votes this year. Plays in all situations; both the point on the PP and on the PK. Will be playing 22 plus minutes a night in the near future.

Looks like he has made the jump and stuck this year. Not a great spot for him in Van. Perfect for Pitt with multiple RFA years in a competitive team.

He’s a really good QB on the PP. Pens fans are calling for him to play on the 1st PP unit over Letang..lol. He’s been that good.

His numbers arnt jumping off the page but obviously watching the games is a different story.

I’d say Sanderson, Power, POJ/Guhle have been the best rookie D-man so far this season.

That's high praise! Not sure what the future holds for Dumo so opportunity for POJ is there.

No thanks. Boeser makes more than bailey for more years and neither of ‘em are all that good. I’d rather keep the first

This is probably a little much for Horvat. If you drop the 2nd, I think that's much more likely. I think you're using the Copp return as a precedent here, but didn't account for Gunler having more upside than Barron. I can at least see the thinking here and all in all, I don't think it's miles off. One of the few Horvat to Carolina trades I've seen where I'm not expecting your drugs test to rival Jori Lehtera's. Good job.

Drastically lower your expectations across the board.

Schenn might get a second, the rest are ridiculously optimistic.

I'd say Boeser is ambitious but the others are fair and there are comparable trades to vouch that. Hughes is a unicorn if you can get him a deal and might be short a pick.

Really? Are we still talking about a 1st rounder for this guy? Isles don't want him at all.....please stop with these offers for Boeser.

A 23 first, and an additional second + good prospect for horvat isn’t happening.
Hughes isn’t getting Nemec.
JT Miller isn’t getting value, let alone a 23 first.
Of course Boeser isn’t getting a first

Garland and Schenn are the only ones that are somewhat reasonable.

I don't think so.
Nemec and a lesser add maybe but Tatar is playing out of his mind, has some of the strongest possession metrics in the entire league so dealing him here would be kinda self-defeating.

Copp got that return. Teams looking for a cup push would do that for a guy on a scoring tear, one of the best face off guys league wide, etc

Was just trying to line up the money. Contract year Tatar is crushing it for sure!

Copp got two conditional second round picks and an okay 23 year old. Not at all the same.

Not all drafts are created equal. 23 picks are viewed as far more valuable.
