Yeah... I'm not a fan of Kulak... Doesn't really bring anything the table other than somewhat of a cool name, lol

Gavrikov for the second is probably fine, but it’ll cost you a good bit more to dump Barrie, especially to a team that doesn’t need him. Yeah, the blue line is decimated here, but that means we need defensemen, not fourth forwards.

I know やまもと is a fine young player and all but not certain what value he has for a transitioning hawks teams. In short the hawks prefer the have a package of futures for Murphy rather than someone who is going to play right now.

Once Toews and Kane are gone after this season, I think Yamamoto would be their best player, and if the Hawks are still rebuilding, he'd be their best player and they've already got good young players in the system and also going to pick other good young players in the next 2 drafts, Yams would be great for this team in my opinion

Well, the title certainly fits like a glove for the CLB trade.

He’s not the kind of player I would build around long term especially if the hawks have a chance to draft Bedard. Don’t get me wrong I would take Yamamoto on the hawks but I don’t think he would be our best player or be worth what we are giving up in Murphy.

DIsagree on "probably fine" w/r/t the 2nd. IMO the 2nd pays for taking on Barrie, but then we need a 1st coming back for Gav.

Mid-to-late 1st, yes. Essentially the same sort of return we got for David Savard at the deadline, because Gavrikov would be a deadline deal.

Yes, because multiple teams will be in on him, and someone will bid that. The team doesn’t have to trade him, and indeed plan A is to re-sign him. What do you care about a late first? Isn’t trying to get McJesus a Cup worth that?

Yamamoto does not have that kind of value. EDM would have to add.

Not a chance the Hawks would do that, Murphy has quite a bite more value then Yamamoto
