Thats the equivalent of 5 first round picks, way too much to give up for a D-Man that may not even play a full season

5 late first rounders =/= 5 "1st" rounders

Middle 6 players are replaceable

There are better defencemen and that’s way too much.

Probably the wrong target for the Oilers. Hasn't played an 82 game season his entire career, his possession numbers are middling to below average at 5 on 5 and the Oilers really don't need help on the powerplay Chychrun may bump the percentage from 26 to 30 which wont make a drastic difference if they Oilers can't keep pucks out of their net. Finding Bouchard a defenisve partner would be a better solution than this I think. Jensen, Orlov, Lybushkin, Kulikov all feel like better targets.

I'm fine with the player. But I'm going to take you saying it's too much even furhter. 6 first round picks (either future or prior), two seconds and two other roster players is crazy to even suggest for Chychrun and Boyd. Arizona has been pretty open that they want two firsts and a prospect for Chycrun. Not 6 first round picks plus two seconds and more. Like Barrie and Janmark aren't cap dumps, they're decent players. This proposal is absolutely insane. Even Chiarelli would spit out his coffee if this came across his desk.

If a below average defending D man in Jacob Cychrun is the difference between a team making and not making the playoffs they don't belong there in the first place.

Bruh.. I'm saying the player is an ok target for the team to get better, but the valuation is insanity... take five players and both second round picks out and it still likely works. There is just a snowballs chance in hell that this trade makes any sense.

Cool, then don't trade for him if you don't correctly value his talent

Sometimes I forget that guys on here work in the NHL war rooms when trades are being done. My bad man, forgot who I was talking to, you clearly sign, seal, deliver all trades for Chychrun

Someone that gets it. This is nice. Idk what this guy doesn't get about the fact that giving up 6 first round picks, 2 2nd round picks and two roster players is basically triple what the coyotes have been pretty open about wanting
