That second line would be crazy good defensively.

easy decline by the avs, Roslovic is not a 2C and at 2m aav, can get a better player than him. He does not have the value to get the avs top goalie prospect who is quiet good

This vs Bo + loss of 1st [and he's a rental] prolly doesn't make a difference this year but is better for Avs next year.

CBJ can fix their netminder issue and has a rising C to play behind Sillinger

I thought he was better than that honestly. Thinking back of when he played in Winnipeg, I haven't watched him on Columbus much.

he was bad defensively in Winnipeg, he has never had good defensive metrics.
He isnt a top 6 player, he isnt a Centre at all

lol this actually makes this deal even better for Avs... he plays SH well, doesn't net PP points [teammate relevant], doesn't turn puck over, took 1800 faceoffs last 3 years, plays with poor teammates vs competition and would make 4C money this year and next.

Do you know how to read stats?

Tarasov is their goalie of the future already and while it's very early to call, Johnson looks pretty comfortable playing 1C. After the draft they could easily end up having a top 3C group of Bedard/Fantilli, Johnson and Sillinger. Not to mention they also have Voronkov that should be coming over next year. I would bet they're gonna wait until after the draft to make any moves concerning their future beyond acquiring more picks.

Just like Merz was their netminder of the future?

You know centers make great wingers right?

And with your argument they have no need for Roslo anyway

How is that an argument against Tarasov? Because Elvis hasn't worked out they should abandon Tarasov for some other unproven prospect?

You know they have like 12 NHL capable wingers already? Gaudreau, Laine, Chinakhov, Marchenko, Texier, Robinson, Danforth, Bemstrom, Foudy, Olivier, Meyer and TFW. Not to mention they could always decide to bump Rosie, Boone, Johnson or all three out to the wing if they end up with Bedard/Fantilli, Johnson, Sillinger, Boone, Rosie, Voronkov and Kuraly on the roster next year.

Yeah, they definitely could afford to look at trading Rosie now. Even if they don't get Bedard or Fantilli they could still have a top 9 of Johnson, Sillinger and Voronkov. What they don't need is another project forward prospect that is probably not going to turn into anything.

lol did I say abandon Tarasov? maybe think more about team building with those pieces and don't overrate your own bois who "project to the moon" and others "surely won't turn into anything"

CBJ has been really bad for years. Why is that?

Uh, they were a playoff team for 5/6 years recently and finished 4th in the league one of those years. How about you get a grip.

Are you really getting this offended over a 28th overall pick from 2017 who has 1 NHL game under his belt being perceived as a long shot for making the NHL?
