Can't believe Parayko would waive for the Canucks.

Not sure the LOL is necessary and agreed CP is better, difference is 8 years on a contract vs 5 years if St Louis is thinking rebuild.

Just meaning that Colton Parayko, Is country miles better than Oliver Ekman-Larsson. And if Vancouver is dumping adding another $6,500,000 x 7 years in RHD Colton Parayko makes zero sense.

I don't follow the logic from the Blues' end here - they already have an older core with Brayden Schenn, Brandon Saad, Torey Krug, Justin Faulk, Nick Leddy, and Jordan Binnington all signed for at least 3 more years after this season; I would think they just treat this year as more of a blip, cash in ROR & Tarasenko if they fall out of the playoff picture, and attack this summer with the goal of contending while those contracts are still on the books. Swapping one long term deal out for a slightly less long term deal doesn't make any sense in that regard - Parayko is the better player, he's younger than OEL, and if St. Louis really did want to tear it all down, this move has little to no effect on it. Vancouver would need to add something significant to make this interesting for the Blues.

So the blues will have OEL, Krug, and Leddy on the left side and only Faulk on the right side????? There is no logic here for the blues to give up the better player in Parayko for OEL. The only sway that would make sense for the blues is Krug for OEL and I'm not sure you guys do that
