As nice as Kane would be, he isn't waiving for Winnipeg and the Jets aren't paying that much for a rental.

I mean if that's the only price for Kane, i think the Jets would pay that. I think the Heinola train was left the station in Winnipeg personally. Barron is a tough loss but you gotta give to get. If you're going for it, this seems like a reasonable price to pay. Him with Connor and Dubois yes please! Ehlers, Scheif, Wheels. That is the best top 6 in the NHL and its not even close.

Maybe. Rentals never work out and while Kane isn't your standard rental, that's a ridiculously high price to pay. I can't see the Jets moving their first unless it's for a younger, up and coming player with term or a young star with term. High of which have amidst no chance of happening.

It doesn't really matter anyways, Kane isn't accepting a trade to Winnipeg.

Dare to dream i guess. im usually always on the cautious end of not trading futures, but this season seems to be one of those go for it years. i think the window is this and next with uncertainty with Scheif, Helle and Duby. So might not be the worst time to be giving up those assets for rentals, whether that Kane (unlikely) or others.

Yeah, I can appreciate your line of thought there for sure. I'm on the cautious side as well, so I wouldn't do anything at all for how. Once the Jets get everyone healthy, then we can see how they look and where they stand at the TDL and go from there. For me, I'm just not rocking the boat now with a huge trade when the team is still playing very well.

It's just too early to start making huge moves.

Yeah, I think that would be more of a TDL move in hindsight.

I'd do it however TB can't. Bringing Balcers back is going to trigger a cap move. No way they can take on 3,000,000

You can probably get more in return for Toews, especially with retention. Avs would easily accept.

There is no chance CHI accepts that for Toews, even if he was kicking and screaming for a trade. Maybe if the 3rd was going the other way, but again, he would have to be kicking and screaming for a trade and this would have to be the best offer on the table, and even then it is a long shot.

For Kane and AA, probably just replace Heinola with a decent forward prospect, another pick, or maybe even an RHD prospect like Gawanke. This is for two reasons, one, CHI has too many LHD prospects as it is, and two, WPG could probably squeeze more value out of him than this. He is a former 20th OA pick that has done pretty well for himself in the AHL, after all.

For the Domi trade, ABB looks like an AHL tweener at this point. He tears up the AHL but he can never seem to get anything done when he's called up to the NHL. I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him, though. But we already have a handful of tweeners sitting in rockford right now. So, idk...
