I’m a huge U of MN Gopher Hockey fan and I love Knies’ game…but, if you think he’s going to step right into a top 6 role and have success…I think your expectations are a bit high.

You are also missing Holmberg. Keefe has had huge praise for him. He will be in our line up for sure.

Overall the team looks great. Knies will get a shot in the spot you have him in, but it is too much to expect that he will stick there. Time will tell!

If you're going to use ROR as a 3C and on the 2nd pp whats the point in trading for him if you're not going to put him in a position to play at his best? You might as well trade for guys like Crouse or Dvorak.

Agree, it would make more sense in trading for Krug, or Tarasanko and moving Nylander to LW

Bro what? Why does Toronto need Torey Krug lol? They already have Morgan Rielly and Sandin. They need a gritty forward that can play in the top 6, Tarasenko isn't that. Id go for Schenn if the Blues retained a bit.

Schenn isn't getting moved with retention. Blues aren't going to move him when they already have pending free agents with ROR and Tarasanko. The point for Krug is that Toronto could take advantage of an OFD. Rielly is on IR and putting a Sandin is 22

I don't think this is very far off on a deal for him. It's at least in the ballpark

Maybe they shift the lines and deploy Knies in a 3rd line roll. Either way, he plays this year.

I think even with Keefe praising Holmberg, adding experience will trump him playing fourth line minutes. These lines maybe make some more sense.

Don't think the Leafs will pickup any D this deadline. They need either a Top 6 LW or 3rd Line C.
