I don't think Seattle goes for this. On the ice they already have Schultz filling the role of puck-moving RHD, he provides everything DeAngelo would and then some, all at a cheaper cap hit. Off the ice I doubt they'd want to take the risk integrating a potential chemistry grenade into their locker room. The Kraken simply don't have a need for DeAngelo.

Maybe he turns it around between now and next season, but I also don't think Philly will be able to recoup so much of the draft pick value they traded for him. I guess time will tell on that.

Plus, Couterier is expected back in March/April so hes your 1C, Hayes your 2C and no need for Haula, with about 15mil left for UFAs. Maybe you keep Deangelo at 2RD, York at 3LD makes a solid defense, with Zamula/Andrae/cheap vet as your 7th dman.

While its awesome to think that Brink, Gautheir, Foerster will join young guys like tippett, frost, cates, farabee and koneckny, I doubt all 3 arrive in 23-24. So Im thinking Foerster and 1 of Gautheir/brink arrive, leaving a spot in the top 7-8 which you could easily fill with a very good UFA with all that cap space
